For about one and a half years i have had this vision and passion to create a unified online community here in Chiang Mai. I did start to put the basic site together a couple of months ago and now it just needs the main ingredient YOU the people to join and share. The goal is to just let people know what you are up to as there most probably are others with the same goal and vision. Sharing resources from sheet music to equipment and to have a place for prayer requests and support. Moodle is also a project in the creation process which is educational support, i have started to teach classes on basic computer skills and also on web design using wordpress here in Chiang Mai. The next step was to have an online site that will enable students to stay in touch and further they’re studies from any location. As both projects are in the starting stages i will carry on updating progress on here in the future.

I am having severe withdrawal symptoms at the moment as i am without machine, even going as far as doing some exercise everyday now as there is no screen to glare at anymore. Dependency is something that you don’t notice until the computer is gone as in my case anyhow as about 10 days ago my lovely Acer Aspire 1520 a rare example of a notebook decided to host an amazing color display in rainbow fashion and then just turned to a white screen. Acer service center are trying to revive the old beast but this may take some time as getting hold of a replacement battery took 8 months. They still are not sure but think the graphics card has gone to cyber heaven so finding the right one is like Russian roulette here in Thailand.

So what do you do when your loved one is gone there i am lying in bed and the pillow next to me is empty some tears at the beginning but optimistic is what i am. I started to spend my time in different ways now just the other day i actually took time to learn my children’s names, those cute smelly little things that run and whiz around the house are actually part of my life now and it makes a nice change.

Computer is definitely dead and will cost around 400 $ to fix so i will not bother, instead i will make it my next project to build a Desktop from scratch which will involve some research, i will post about the progress while i create a Frankenstein PC.

The last two weeks i have had some time to teach  blogging with Wordpress to my two co-workers at COC Thailand. I really enjoyed teaching again as it has been 4 years since i spend time in a classroom and then it was in front of 60 kids (3-12 Year olds) usually teaching English as a second language which was fun but limiting.

Satien and Yui both were familiar with programs like Photoshop and have shown a creative drive over the past year since i met them first. Satien mainly in the music field as he is part of a Band called ‘God’s Chosen’ and he wanted to create a website for this band. And Yui a very creative designer who is part of the graphics department at COC.

Teaching seems to run in the family as my grandfather was a math’s teacher and my mother a Montessori nursery teacher. This month I will also start to teach computer skills and information technology something i am looking forward to.

At the moment the project is a simple Blog for my friends Ron and Mon. As Ron is returning to Canada to meet up with family and friends over the summer this will be a great way to let people see what he has been up to. He has done some great work with his wife Mon here in northern Thailand and i felt it was time to get this out on the web and share the story of Ron and Mon two faithfull servants of God in Thailand.
